“The location is ideal - winter or summer. However, the cabin was ice cold when we checked in. The gas fireplace was insufficient to adequately warm the living space; that is, we had the thermostat cranked to 85, but the interior temp never rose above 65. We had to borrow blankets and space heater from our daughter who had a full house on the Peninsula.We also discovered one window open about 1/2”, which obviously created inefficiency. There was a live spider and web in the Keurig water reservoir...

“Really loved our stay here. View of the lake from cabin was amazing. Cabin had everything needed and was very cozy and comfortable. Lake Almanor is a gem. ”

“The homeowner was easy to communicate with. The house was very clean and organized. The beds were comfortable and well-stocked. They even have coffee cups, soaps, and shampoos. We were very happy with our stay. ”

“Lake View cottage is perfectly located for fun on the Almanor peninsula. My family and I went to participate in the Courage race. We had a wonderful weekend. The cottage hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. I would not recommend this property for an elderly group as the stairs are very steep and could be hard to navigate for some. Other than that, it had beautiful views and a large deck for family dinners. ”
